Scarlett Huang

Hi! I'm Scarlett Huang, I am an 8th grader and the new Editor in Chief of the Hawk Editorial. I'm really grateful to be here and I'm happy to be leading this newspaper. I enjoy reading and writing from time to time as well as playing with my big German Shepherd. As per the stereotype, I play (and sometimes enjoy) the piano. I hope that this year we will be publishing content that the whole school will be able to enjoy!

Aiden Duggal

Hi! I am Aiden Duggal. I’m an 8th grade student and Managing Editor of the Hawk Editorial. I enjoy writing and have authored two fiction books. Some of my favorite hobbies are playing basketball and video games. My goal in life is to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle for others!

GRAPHIC DESIGN DIRECTOR

Enya Li

Helloo, I'm Enya and I'm an 8th grader at Hopkins Junior High. As graphic design director, I'm in charge of how the layout will go, what the graphics will look like, and choosing the desired color scheme for monthly editions. Some of my hobbies include watching k-dramas & anime (2D>3D), playing piano, and astronomy/astrophysics!

FACULTY ADVISOR

Mr. Parekh

Mr. Parekh is a 7th grade English teacher, as well as the Film Production elective teacher. He is the Hawk Editorial's faculty advisor. Mr. Parekh believes in proofreading, Harambe, and the power of dead writers (...and dead memes). Thank Mr. Parekh for letting us do this by further proofreading something you're just about to turn in!

I'm a staff writer. I play tennis. I want articles about random happenings/thoughts of mine but I try to contain that urge. If I had to be any potato based food I would probably be scrambled eggs.

Tvisha Tyagi

Hello! My name is Tvisha Tyagi, and I'm a seventh grader and staff writer at the Hawk Editorial. In my free time, I like listening to music, playing the flute, and reading.

Michael Q

Hi! My name is Michael Qin. I'm a seventh-grader and staff writer at the 2022-2023 Hawk Editorial Club. In my spare time, I like Public Forum debates, creative writing, reading historical fiction books, and playing basketball.

Navya Stuti

Hi! I'm Navya Stuti, an 8th grader at Hopkins and staff writer in the Hawk Editorial. Apart from writing, I enjoy art, listening to music, playing

the piano, reading, and hanging out with my friends.

Saanvi Shah

Hello! I'm Saanvi Shah, an eighth grader who is a staff writer for the Hawk Editorial. I enjoy writing since it helps me express my creativity through there. I am also a performer as I learn Bollywood and folk dance. Visual arts is also one of my strong attributes since I love to do art. Other than that, I love spending time with my friends and family.

Kaleigh Lee

As one of the staff writers at the Hawk Editorial 2022-2023, Kaleigh hopes to connect everyone at Hopkins by creating content that is relevant and engaging. In her leisure, Kaleigh enjoys Star Wars movies, playing her contrabass, collecting vintage coins, playing in rain puddles, and Muay Thai training. Her current passions include finishing a book to be published in summer and baking perfect Kouignoù Amann.

Hi! My name is Purvi Somashekar. I am part of the photography team in the Hawk Editorial. In the year 2022-2023, I am currently a 7th grader. My hobbies include drawing, music, volleyball, and taking unnecessary pictures :) Hope you enjoy the articles :D

Hi! My name is Riya Ganti, and I am a photographer for the Hawk Editorial. I am in 8th grade, and enjoy art, singing, dance, math, and the holiday season. I also really love spaghetti and maagi noodles :)
